A landscape full of energy…

In tackling climate change much effort is undertaken in energy saving and the transition to green gas and carbon sequestration. The landscape however, is also capable to supply us with energy. The potential of the energy-providing landscape are underestimated and marginally analysed. If we look at the potentials to harvest wind, solar, geothermal or hydro-power, the combination of these resources could provide us with all the energy we need. The landscape is only to be designed to become productive and transform into an energy landscape. Former research has proven these added resources can meet the needs of future generations. We can even base our spatial planning and land-use on the places where we can supply a specific combination of energy. The energy potentials in a certain area can direct the spatial design options. CITTAIDEALE helps you to make designs for energy landscapes at regional, urban and neighbourhood level. CITTAIDEALE developed the concept of a Zero Fossil Region, worked on energy-driven spatial plans for North Netherlands and designed the Masterplan for the energy landscape of Minamisoma.
